Photos of a student that makes use of banana leaf in writing notes in his class has gone viral on the Internet, inspiring a lot of netizens.
While numerous students have the opportunity to buy their school supplies, a lot of children, however, are not so lucky enough to have some of them.
A young boy, who is dedicated to going on with life in spite of poverty, was caught on a camera choosing to improvise since he could not buy a notebook.
The boy would gather banana leaves where he could write down notes from his class.
This diligent boy is Erlande Monter who studies at the Lianga National Comprehensive School in the Philippines.
His teacher, Arcilyn Balbin Azarcon, shared this inspiring story through his Facebook account, showing off some photos of the kid using banana leaves as a writing pad.
"To all the students who have notebook: Please, do EXERT AN EFFORT TO WRITE, instead of taking pictures," she said.
Based on the teacher's post, she had instructed the whole class to copy their notes. As she looks around, she found out that the child was using banana leaves as a writing pad. Instead of getting embarrassed, the kid even joked about teacher Arcilyn to check his notes if he copied them correctly.
As soon as the teacher uploaded the story along with pictures on her social media account, the post spread like a wildfire.
In fact, a lot of netizens applauded the student's ingenuity and perseverance to go on with life and to push through his education despite life's challenges.
